A week long writing intensive in Orvieto, Italy, November 9th-15th, 2014, for writers seeking a deeper connection to their written work.
West Tisbury Poet Laureate Justen Ahren will lead this week-long workshop in the ancient hill town of Orvieto, Italy. This workshop explores principles, such as devotion, prayer, and surrender, found in monastic practices, and applies these ‘acts’ to writing and creativity. Cultivate a deep connection to your written expression and access the beauty and abundance that can invigorate your work.
Orvieto, 1 hour North of Rome, is an inspiring town with many fine restaurants, shops, and cultural venues. Our hotel for the week is the Hotel Duomo on Orvieto’s famous main square.

Justen Ahren is founder and director of the Noepe Center for Literary Arts, Edgartown, Ma. He has taught and performed at festivals and conferences in Seattle, Boston, Mexico, Italy and Martha’s Vineyard. His poetry collection, A Strange Catechism was published in 2013.
Workshop space is limited to ten participants. This intimate workshop is for writers and artists interested in connecting to the deep and plentiful source of their creativity.

*Transportation to and from Orvieto is the responsibility of each participant.
*Meals, other than breakfast, are the responsibility of individual participants. There are excellent restaurants and groceries around the hotel.
