To apply for the Martha’s Vineyard Writers Residency, fill out the online application.  Then, in the body of an email, please send a statement of purpose specifying the project you plan to work on, the genre you are writing in, a short bio including publication history, awards, and other residencies attended (if any) and the weeks you would like to attend.  (Please note that residencies are a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of one month.)

In the subject line of the email please put Writers Residency.

As an attachment to this email, include up to 20 pages of prose or non-fiction, one act from a play, or six poems. Make sure attached document is in word.doc format.

Manuscripts are reviewed between March 1^st and June 15^th. Successful applicants will be notified in early August.

There is no application fee.

The residency cost is $150.00 per week or $600.00 per month. This fee is due upon acceptance.
